Patina Patina PatinaMiller starred as the Leading Player Miller was the lead actor in his role in the Broadway version of Stephen Schwartz's cult 1972 musical "Pippin". Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" is a musical that starred Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well director Diane Paulus. Patina changed the role Ben Vereen into a Tony Award-winning actor. The actress also learned Fosse's movements which are so important to the musical. Patina received a Tony Award for Best Performance of an Actress in the Leading Role within a Musical. She also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical in addition to Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award, and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for her performance. Her previous role was Leading Player on stage at American Repertory Theater in "Pippin", from December 2012 until January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
